This website is inspired by my dog, Don Don.

At home, we often call him “Who’s the goodest boy?” — and on days when he gets a little too cheeky, we switch to his “full name”: Li Ah Don (yes, my surname is Li, so it’s basically the dog version of being called by your full name when you're in trouble).

So we blended both identities —
Goodest Boy + Li Ah Don = thegoodestLAD

A name that celebrates every dog’s ability to be both perfectly angelic and hilariously naughty and loved all the same.

We adopted him from SOSD when he was one year old, and since then he has become my greatest teacher. Don Don has taught us to:

• Adapt to every situation with grace

• Greet the world with friendliness and curiosity

• Appreciate the little joys (like smelling grass)

• Live in the moment

• And most importantly — always show love to your family, no matter how long they’ve been away

(Okay, he also taught us about peeing and pooing in public — I may have done something similar once in the jungle and desert… but that’s a different story.)

Inspired by his lessons, this platform exists to help pet parents live a happier, more connected life with their dogs — and to build a future where every dog has someone who cares, even if life changes along the way.

Who I Am

Hi, I’m Zach — happily married, proud dog dad, lifelong learner, and someone who loves trying new things.
I’ve spent 20+ years in tech, and along the way explored side passions — from cafés and reflexology to scuba diving ventures.

After a short stint in the insurance world (where I learned the real value of planning, Wills & Trusts, and caring for loved ones), I returned to tech — and now I’m combining both worlds: passion and purpose.

I love books, investing, philosophy, comics, art, history, personal development — and I’m also working on staying fit as I hit my mid-40s (the knees don’t lie).

Problem Statement

As dog lovers, one question always lingers:

“What happens to our fur-kids when we can no longer take care of them?”

This journey began to answer that — starting with education and support for new paw-parents, and expanding towards a long-term vision:

✅ Build a comprehensive ecosystem to ensure every dog is protected — even if life takes unexpected turns

Our dream is a 360° care and continuity system for our dogs — so no pet is ever left behind, neglected, or mistreated.

We live, love, and learn from our dogs — and I believe that if we live life like them, with loyalty, curiosity, and joy, we’ll always find purpose and meaning.
